location and pleasant weather year-round, but also the

concentration on graduate programs and research. With
world-renowned faculty, international curricula, innovative
community partnerships, and the integration of technology
and learning, UCF promises students an exceptional academic

and Photonics/CREOL (Center for Research and Education
in Optics and Lasers) and FPCE (Florida Photonics Center
of Excellence), the Institute for Simulation and Training,
the Florida Solar Energy Center, and the National Center
for Forensic Science. In addition, the technology incubator
provides a means for UCF to transfer technology from
the research laboratory to the marketplace. The Central
Florida Research Park, located adjacent to the UCF Orlando
campus, is a hotbed for sponsored research and employment
opportunities for UCF students and graduates.
Student
and Campus Life
Student
life at UCF is more than just working on projects and
attending classes. The university supports and encourages
many forms of student participation, and the Office
of Student Involvement provides students with the tools
that foster leadership, personal development and social
responsibility. Through leadership and coordination,
this office provides advice to more than 350 registered
clubs and organizations.
Along
with activities on campus, the university strives to
provide students with comfortable and modern facilities.
The Department of Housing and Residence Life offers
accommodations for more than 9,000 students in seven
communities. There are also many affiliated housing
facilities available outside the UCF campus.
Alumni
A
students’ association with the university does
not end when they graduate. The UCF Alumni Association
enhances the lives of alumni, providing them with the
opportunity to stay connected and involved with the
