LOCATION:
- Located in the exciting urban setting of Chicago, the third-largest city in the US,
DePaul attracts students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries around
the world reflecting a broad diversity of ethnic, religious, geographic and economic
backgrounds.
- DePaul's Lincoln Park campus is located on
36 acres in the heart of Chicago’s historic
Lincoln Park neighborhood (10 minutes from
downtown). It is home to DePaul’s College
of Liberal Arts & Sciences, the School of Education, the School of Music and the Theatre School.
- DePaul's Loop campus, in the heart of the business district, houses the College
of Commerce, the School of Computer
Science, Telecommunication and Information Systems, the School for New Learning, the Law School, and the English Language Academy.
- DePaul's urban location in a global city lends many internship and community-based work

- Chicago features miles of beautiful coastline
along Lake Michigan. The climate is variable;
the temperature falls to -10° Celsius in

INTERNATIONAL
STUDENT SERVICES:
- DePaul's International Admission office
is dedicated to giving personal attention
to international students throughout the
admission process.
- DePaul's International Student Office
provides an orientation for all new
international students, and assists
students with immigration issues and
cultural adjustment.
- DePaul's English Language Academy
offers intensive ESL courses, TOEFL
preparation, and activities which focus
on academic preparation for university
degree programs. Conditional admission
to the ELA and various graduate and
undergraduate programs is available.
- DePaul's Career Center assists
international students in finding oncampus
employment and internship
opportunities.
- DePaul's Office of Student Life connects
students with a vibrant and active
campus community and helps student
leaders achieve their goals. We have
over 150 student organizations, 28 of
which have an international focus, to
enhance the holistic development of
students.

- Eight colleges and schools within the
university provide more than 200 highly
acclaimed academic programs, including
several innovative degrees which reflect
the constantly changing needs of the
world economy and global community.
- DePaul faculty members are present for
one primary purpose: to teach. Almost
90% of DePaul's full-time faculty hold
doctorates or the highest degrees in their
fields.
- DePaul maintains a student to faculty
ratio of 17 to 1, while 70% of classes
have 30 or fewer students.

TRANSPORTATION
/TRAVEL:
- Chicago's O'Hare International Airport
is easily accessible and transports
more than 190,000 travelers a day,
making Chicago the transportation
center of the country.
- The Amtrak train leaves from the
beautifully restored Union Station in
downtown Chicago, connecting to cities
throughout the United States.
- Chicago boasts one of the most
comprehensive public transportation
systems in the United States; subway
and elevated trains, buses, and
numerous bike paths connect all
parts of the city and surrounding area
reducing the need for automobiles.
- DePaul students are eligible for special
U-passes offering full-time students
unlimited rides on Chicago's bus/rail
system during the academic year.
