Charleston, South Carolina, USA:
Known
as The Hospitality University of the South, Johnson &
Wales University's Charleston Campus now has more than 1,400
students currently enrolled in a variety of programs in
the food service, hospitality and travel-tourism areas.
The University is housed in a five-story brick building
that was built in 1881 as part of reconstruction following
the Civil War.
Charleston
is known for its wealth of historic homes and plantations,
museums, and fine restaurants. The city's southern charms,

Denver,
Colorado, USA: This campus is our newest campus
which opened in September 2000. On 30 beautiful acres, our
student union, dining center, athletic facility, and newly
renovated residence and academic halls are in the midst
of vibrant community, both a tourist destination and a business
center.
Denver
receives 300days of Sunshine a year (more than San Diego
and Miami) and has been named "2nd best city in American
to work and live" by Fortune Magazine. In addition,
Colorado is the US's 6th leading tourist destination.
Practical
Education: The University's philosophy emphasizes
learning through real-life experiences such as internships
and co-ops, in addition to classroom learning. For many

Accreditation:
Johnson & Wales University is regionally accreditated
by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges
(NEAS&C).
Admissions:
Requirements for international students include an international
application, complete evidence of financial support, TOEFL
score of 550 or 210 on the computerized version, official
higher secondary school transcripts and diplomas, certificates
and official examination results certifying successful completion
of higher secondary education with English translation.
The
British GCE Advanced Level Examinations (grade A-E), IB
Examinations (4 or better, higher level), AP examinations
(3 or better) and CLEP (minimum recommended score) are all
recognized and granted advanced placement credit for subjects
which are applicable to the intended major. All subject
equivalencies are determined by the appropriate academic
departments based on a review of the examination syllabus.
Housing:
Housing is provided in the University's comfortable residence
halls in and around Providence. A free shuttlebus service
is provided between residence halls and classrooms. In addition,
an international housing coordinator assists students who
are looking for off-campus apartments in the local community.
On
arrival, a student will be picked up by a University representative
and taken to the International Retreat Center located at
the Johnson & Wales Inn. Such students are allowed to
stay two nights free-of-charge at the Inn, while looking
for permanent housing accommodations.
Schedule:
Three 11-week terms are scheduled: September,
December, March.
English
Language Institute: The University also offers
an English Language Program which not only prepares students
to enter their degree programs in the University, but will
also prove valuable in their careers. The English Language
Institute makes living and going to school in America easier
for you. Classes in English as a Second Language (ESL) allow
for the easiest cultural and academic transition and prepare
you to do your best. Our ESL program allows you to focus
on the areas where you need the most improvement while also
allowing you to take REGULAR CLASSES at the same
