Seventy-seven percent of our faculty holds the highest degree in their field, and the student-faculty ratio is approximately 15:1. While the school's academic program is challenging, the environment is encouraging, supporting personal growth and development. The program is also extremely personal.
Most students know their professors on a first name basis, and faculty advisors mentor and guide students during their time at the college.

At La Roche College, students from more than 30 different nations are joining each other to learn together, to live together and to work together. The college's Pacem In Terris (Peace on Earth) Institute provides scholarship assistance and collegiate opportunities to young women and men from post-conflict countries. International students make up approximately 18% of the 1,800-member student body of La Roche College. The significant international population at the college promotes cross-cultural learning and provides an enriching college experience that prepares all students for today's diverse world.

La Roche College has 11 varsity sports that compete at the NCAA Division III level. In 2000-01, the Lady Redhawks softball team captured their second consecutive AMCC conference title. The men's basketball program competed for the conference championship, as did men and women's soccer and men's golf. La Roche College also offers club and intramural sports, with some of the finest athletic facilities in the area, including newly renovated baseball, softball and soccer fields.

La Roche College is located just 15 minutes north of downtown Pittsburgh and offers convenient access to both I-79 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The city of Pittsburgh presents students with internships opportunities as well as cultural and social events. Pittsburgh is home to the Steelers, the Pirates and the Penguins, and also houses a zoo, museums, and many interesting stores and restaurants. On the La Roche campus, students are within minutes of malls, restaurants, parks and theatres.
