CHARACTERISTICS
OF INSTITUTION
Mesa
Community College (MCC) is an accredited public,
two-year institution offering courses leading
to the associate degree and certificates. Both
transfer and occupational programs are offered
in a broad range of subjects. A program of Intensive
English is available for international students
who need to improve their English skills before
entering regular academic programs. Student services
including academic and immigration advising, assessment
testing, career planning, child care, personal
counseling, and tutoring services
MCC
offers many opportunities for students to enjoy
campus life. Including events and activities,
organizations, clubs, publications, music and
theater performances, intercollegiate athletics
and intramural sports.
Mesa
Community College has two major campuses in the
community of Mesa, Arizona: the main campus at
Southern and Dobson, situated on 145 landscaped
acres; and the new Red Mountain campus, expected
to provide service to over 5,000 students. Both
campuses provide modern and comfortable classroom,
administration, physical education, laboratory,
and occupational training facilities. Mesa is
a relaxed and friendly community within close
proximity to other resort cities such as Scottsdale
and Phoenix. Mesa and its neighboring towns provide
the student with ample educational, cultural,
entertainment, and recreational resources.
