| The
Founding Spirit of NIT
NIT was founded on the principle
of providing the opportunity for a continuing and higher
level of education for students who would develop into
scientific engineers. We aim to assemble capable people
with the practical, technical and drafting skills equivalent
to those of technical high school graduates.
Our educational principle is
to train our students to become professional engineers
who can bridge the gap between theory and practice and
directly apply their learned technical skills and techniques
to meet the needs of the industry. In addition to educating
promising young people to contribute to the advancement
of industrial technology in Japan, we strive to participate
in the global advancement of technology and to contribute
to the technological progress of under-developed countries.
Practical Engineers Developed
What defines Nippon Institute
of Technology is its open-door stance toward people
who are seeking to learn about advanced technology after
obtaining technical abilities developed at high-school
level. Nippon Institute of Technology consistently strives
to devote the ideal mode of education for each new age
and the development of practical engineers.
Close Communication
Between Students and Faculty
Advisor system promotes
student-faculty communication. Students are free to
consult the faculty of academic problems, student life
and various concerns related to their process of self-definition,
and can benefit from the facultys thoughtful approach
to these problems.
The Campus
The expansive campus of NIT is
located in the peaceful, rural part of Miyashiromachi,
Minamisaitama-gun, in Saitama prefecture. There is no
pollution, and a quiet and calm, splendid natural environment
has been maintained. On the horizon, at the end of the
extensive Kanto plain, Mt. Fuji, Mt. Akagi, Mt. Nantai,
Mt. Tsukuba and other mountains can be seen.
At the centre of this vast site,
exceeding 260,000 square metres, there is a U-shaped
building and experimental and study buildings. The campus
is located at about 1300m from Tobu Dobutsu Koen station
on the Tobulsesaki line.
