The
International University in Geneva was founded by Dr. David Williamson,
the former European President of DuPont deNemours. The university offers
undergraduate and graduate degrees in the areas of Business Administration
and Communication and Media. The undergraduate programs last four years
and the graduate programs one year.
The university is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), USA. The student body is composed of 41 nationalities. The multicultural and dynamic environment of the university and the international faculty contribute to create a framework in which the student acquires global experience. The programs have been designed to create a sound balance between theoretical foundations and practical applications. The International University in Geneva emphasizes the importance of interpersonal skills, such as leadership, communication and the ability to work in a multicultural team. These skills are encouraged through active participation and regular presentations in class. Students are expected to have achieved working knowledge of a foreign language in addition to English by the time they have completed their studies. The faculty have practical experience in industry and business combined with an academic background. The university has educational links and exchange programs with several universities including Fordham University in New York, DePaul University in Chicago, ENCP in Paris and Michigan State University. Entry requirements for non-native English speakers include a TOEFL score of 550 and successful completion of secondary Education/high school. Admission is on a rolling basis. The university is located in a modem business building close to the diplomatic area in Geneva. It is possible to reach the university by bus or by train (airport stop). The university provides
