The University's general reading rooms are also open to students of the faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
Computers
The Faculty computer rooms for students are located on the first and third floor of the main building of the university. All exchange students are given their own e-mail address and access to Internet facilities.
Restaurants
The University has a restaurant (Mensa) where students and staff can have lunch and diner for reasonable prices.
Language courses

Student Association and Introduction Period
The Faculty has two student associations: Aureus for Economics and Business Administration students and Kraket for Econometricians. These faculty associations represent students' interests. Students are members of the Faculty Council and the Faculty Board. The student associations sell study books at a discount, publish lecture notes and summaries of study material, and they maintain a database of old exams and tests. Furthermore, they organise field trips, company visits, symposia, theme days and courses. Relaxation and fun are also important: each year the student associations organize large numbers of sports and cultural events, drinks and parties.
'Exchange' is an Aureus committee that is responsible for the reception of and assistance to exchange students at the Faculty. 'Exchange' organises an introductory programme each semester before the start of the classes. All exchange students will receive an invitation for this introduction period. During this 3-day programme, students will get to know the university, the city of Amsterdam and the other exchange students of the Faculty.
Location
The accessibility of the VU is excellent. The Amsterdam-Zuid WTC train station is only a seven-minute walk from the VU. The centre of Amsterdam can be reached in 20 minutes by tram so people can easily benefit from the advantages of a large and beautiful city.
