My name
is Tebogo Ethel Seretse from Botswana in Africa. I
obtained my first degree BA+CDE in English and Theology, at
The University of Botswana and Swaziland in 1982. In 1990
qualified for Masters degree in Religious Education at Lancaster
University in England.
I have
taught in Botswana for eighteen years. Eight years were spent
teaching in senior secondary schools while ten years were
spent in tertiary education, at Molepolole College of Education
as a lecturer and Head of department in Religious Education.
I am a co-author of a religious education textbooks : Junior

G.Kgathi, R.R.Seganabeng, and T.E.Seretse.
I registered
with Birmingham University as an MPhil research student in
Religious Education for the academic year 1999/2000. I am
hoping to transfer into a Phd programme. My research topic
is: Religious Beliefs of Batswana Children and The Teaching
of Concepts of World Religions in Community Junior Schools.
This will
help me to investigate important elements of human experience
of youth in Botswana culture. I also hope to explore teaching
strategies which could encourage reflective thinking in Religious
education in Botswana.
