Graduate
Programs
Today's competitive
business environment has increased the need for a higher degree of career
advancement. To meet this demand, Strayer University offer four graduate
programs: Master of Science degree in Business Administration, Communications
Technology, Information Systems, and Professional Accounting.
Business Administration
- The Master of Science in Business Administration (MSBA) program offers
a professional graduate course of study designed to provide competency
in management and to acquaint the student with a variety of business activities.
The MSBA degree program is both decision and policy oriented and focuses
on key aspects of modern business administration. The Strayer University
program is designed to prepare graduates for managerial and administrative
roles in business, industry, and government on the national and local
levels. Additionally, the curriculum provides graduates most of the academic
background needed to pursue recognition and certification by the Institute
of Certified Professional Managers.
Communications
Technology - The Master of Science in Communications Technology (MSCT)
program stresses the design, technical, managerial, and policy issues
associated with developing communications systems that support modern
organizations. It addresses the theoretical and practical aspects of designing
developing, implementing, and managing communications systems that provide
the backbone for enterprise solutions. All prerequisites for the Masters
of Science in Communications Technology are met in the Bachelor of Science
in Computer Networking program.
Information Systems
- The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) is a professional
degree program that stresses the technical, managerial, and policy issues
associated with building computer based systems that support modern organizations.
The MSIS program addresses the theoretical and practical aspects of specifying,
designing, implementing, and managing systems that possess qualities such
as portability, scalability, and intraropability (open systems). The MSIS
program treats information as an organizational resource that is subject
to managerial planning and control. It focuses on integration of data
and distribution of information in helping organizations to be more competitive.
In addition, the MSIS program offers graduates most of the academic background
necessary to pursue certification as a certified computer professional
(CCP).
Professional Accounting
- The primary objective of the Master's Degree in Professional Accounting
(MSAC) is to provide specialized, graduate level education to persons
seeking positions as professional accountants in industry, government,
and non-profit organizations. In addition, the MSAC program offers graduates
much of the academic background necessary to pursue certification in public
accounting (CPA) and management accounting (CMA). The program provides
a well-balanced integration of theoretical accounting concepts and modern
quantitative methods in decision-making.
