Strayer
Online
Enjoy the convenience
of earning a degree at an accredited university without leaving your home
or office! Strayer Online is not independent study but a true virtual
classroom. Strayer Online is a division of Strayer University, offering
online courses and degrees for students who want to pursue academic studies
in order to enhance their careers and accomplish personal goals.
Virtual Classroom
- Strayer Online classes are unique. Modeled after the traditional classroom,
Strayer Online classes meet weekly, with students logging into a virtual
classroom on the Internet. Students can hear their instructor deliver
a lecture in live audio, and they have the opportunity to ask questions
or dialogue with their classmates through real-time text-based communication.
The instructor may use slides or a white board to illustrate their lectures.
Enrollment in classes is limited; thus creating an academic environment
that encourages discussion and active sharing of ideas and experiences.
Experienced Instructors
- Instructors act as mentors, facilitators, and co-learners, as well as
subject area experts. Many of Strayer's professors not only teach but
also work in their fields and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience
to the classroom. Students appreciate the practical, real-world experience
that professors share with their students.
Virtual Campus
- Strayer University provides many online services for the convenience
of students. Admission to the University can be accomplished by completing
an online application form. Students can sign up for classes, apply for
financial aid and scholarships, and order textbooks through the Strayer
Web site. After a course is completed, students can check online for their
grades. The virtual campus makes it convenient to attend class and earn
a degree.
Strayer Online is
a convenient solution for busy, working adults interested in taking a
class or earning an undergraduate or graduate degree. All that is needed
to attend online classes at Strayer University is a computer (either a
desktop or laptop) and access to the Internet. All of the software needed
to attend class is available free from Strayer's site or through links.
