Located near Dayton, Ohio, Wright State University is a nationally accredited state university with an impressive range of study. Its six colleges and three schools, offer more than 100 undergraduate degrees and nearly 50 Ph.D., master ’s, and professional degrees. For international students who wish to learn or improve their English language skills, Wright State University has a four-level intensive English program (LEAP). LEAP not only provides the language skills but also provides students with a thorough knowledge of the U.S. culture. Founded: 1964. Granted full university status in 1967 Location: 12 miles northeast of Dayton, Ohio. Campuses: WSU is a 557- acre campus surrounded by a beautiful biological preserve; the WSU Lake Campus near St. Mary’s and Celina, Ohio, offers associate and prebaccalaureate degrees Enrollment: Approximately 12,000 undergraduate and 3,000 graduate students Student Body: approximately 94% Ohio residents, 13% underrepresented students, and international students representing 71 foreign countries Faculty: 715 total faculty; 80 percent hold terminal degrees in their field.
