Who is it for?
Awards are open to US graduate students for study in the UK. There are no restrictions on subject or age.
Awards are made on a competitive basis, for the first academic year. The awards cover approved tuition fees and a maintenance allowance.
A variety of awards are also available for postdoctoral academics to lecture and/or conduct research, for between two weeks and 12 months according to the type of award. Some awards are made in response to specific requests from UK institutions, others on a competitive basis. All Fulbright Scholars are invited to attend two three day cultural orientation programmes during the academic year.
