Most international students will need a study permit to study a degree in Canada and others may need to apply for temporary residence.

Students can apply online or on paper. More information (and the online application) can be found on the website of the Canadian government, linked below.

Students from a specified 29 countries and one territory need to appear in person to have their fingerprints taken when applying for their temporary residence visa or study permit.

Along with the application, prospective students will need to supply proof of acceptance, proof of identity, proof of financial support, and a letter of explanation.
