AUL is a non-profit university offering educational and research facilities since 1984.

The University offers a wide range of on campus programs for undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. The University has also pioneered flexible and cost effective distance learning programs through successful completion of a supervised research program culminating in a master or doctoral degree thesis, which significantly contributes to learning in a student's field of specialisation.

The operational territory of AUL extends well beyond the boundary of UK and encompasses students far and wide from different nationalities.

LOCATION

AUL is situated in a congenial atmosphere for advanced learning where students have access to all the modern facilities of the Europe's Capital City. AUL campus in Seven Sisters Road is ten minutes walk from the Finsbury Park Station.

SUPPORT FACILITIES

UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION COURSE

A large population of our student comes from non-English speaking background and could face language difficulties while pursuing their studies. In this respect language courses are available to all overseas students wishing to improve their English. These are ongoing courses throughout the year and can be joined at the start of every semester.

AUL's computer lab is connected to the Internet providing students the facilities to e-mail or to surf the web for their academic research and projects.

In addition to the assistance in regular course work, there are a number of Access/ foundation courses available to all MBA and BBA Students in computing. Students besides working towards their regular qualifications can also participate in such courses and gain extra qualifications in programming languages, web design etc.

IT/ LIBRARY

Computer labs, library and reading rooms are open to students all year round. AUL also arranges membership for students for libraries outside it campus such as the British Library, University of London Library etc. in order to help student to access a wide variety of reading and research materials.

ACCOMMODATION

AUL does not offer its own dormitories. AUL has contacts with a number of landlords and ladies who offer properties for rent on a shared basis or as self-contained flats to students within the vicinity of the campus.

PROGRAMS AVAILABLE

The School of Business offers MBA and BBA programs concentrating on Accounting, Business Law, Management, Information Systems, International Marketing, Statistics, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management and many others.

MBA AT AUL

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is the most popular business qualification in the world, and it has become a prerequisite for most management positions.

Our one-year MBA course is taught in three semesters, each semester is organized in 15 weeks. Students can enter at the start of any semester which is usually in September, January and May. To work for the degree, students are required to earn a total of 36 credits. Half of the credits are earned by taking core subjects, and half of the credits through research project where the student specializes in finance, marketing, human resource management, government and social planning, strategic management and operational research etc.

MS COMPUTER SCIENCE

This is a highly sophisticated course designed for those who are keen in advance technology and look forward to build their career in IT, Networking, software/hardware engineering, web design, programming languages and quantitative decision-making. The duration of this course is one year, organized into 3 semesters to earn 36 credits.

BBA AND BS

BBA and BS at AUL attract a large number of students from all over the world. These courses offer a strong background in the disciplines like finance, accounting, human resource management, philosophy, marketing, computerized information system, IT and rational problem solving.

Students need to complete 124 semester credits in three years. Those students who are already studying for bachelor degree courses in other accredited institutions can transfer their credits to AUL and obtain a degree by completing the remaining credits. Each year we have many transfer students who successfully complete their degrees in one or two years.


DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY

Graduate students and those who have work experience and wish to contribute by producing an original research thesis have excellent facilities to pursue further education at AUL. AUL's academics are highly experienced and constantly remain engaged in research and consultancy projects in the real world. Occasionally students get involved in ongoing projects and achieve PhD. In a majority of cases, students identify their own research problem and work under the supervision of AUL's academics.


SHORT SUMMER COURSES FOR BUSINESS STUDIES

Short summer courses are extensive in nature designed for students who are working towards their first degree or studying at undergraduate level. These courses provide an excellent opportunity for overseas students who wish to take advantage of advanced level studies in the UK and intend to transfer credits back to their own college or institution for the acceleration of their study program

TEACHING METHOD

A typical day includes two class sessions, of three hours each, in the form of lectures, case discussions and /or computer simulation.

A highly qualified team of academics (professors and lecturers) with qualifications from distinguished institutions around the world provide interactive, practical and case oriented learning. The relevance of their teaching and the innovation of their research are guaranteed by close partnership with industry.

The dual commitment to teaching and research ensures that teaching materials are updated to reflect the latest developments and cutting edge practices. Teaching staff ensures that all students carry out adequate literature survey and surf the web to complete their assignments.

Members of our academic staff have worked in various capacities as professors, lecturers, business consultants, financial analysts, IT specialists, economists, government and international relations specialists and social planners.


ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

For graduate programs applicants should possess honours degree or equivalent from a recognised university acceptable to the AUL.

For undergraduate programs candidates should possess appropriate pre-university qualifications.
