At Beacon College students have the opportunity to vastly develop their intellectual abilities, in a supporting environment.

Beacon is now accepting applications for Spring 2017 and Fall 2017. As the admissions process is competitive, it is recommended that international students apply early and submit the following documents:
  • Application for Admission
  • Official high school and college (if applicable) transcripts
  • Educational evaluation which includes evidence of learning disability, ADHD, or other academic or learning difference. Evaluations should include a cognitive and achievement assessment as well as social/emotional scales to determine goodness of fit.
  • English as a second language: For students in which English is not the first language, the results of the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is required.
Upon acceptance into Beacon College, international students must supply the following items prior to a student visa being processed:
  • Foreign Student Financial Statement
  • Student health insurance
  • A copy of their passport
High School Summer for Success:
High school juniors and seniors are invited to enroll in Beacon College's three-week Summer for Success program, and international students fluent in English are especially encouraged to apply.

The program is designed to teach the students useful learning strategies that can be used during their remaining years in high school and help them overcome the fear of going to college.

Students also get a close-up view of what it's like to live and learn on a college campus, with fellow students who learn differently from around the country and the world.

They'll also benefit from:
  • Classes that build their learning skills and allow them to explore personal interests
  • Developing important strategies and life skills that can be used during their remaining high school years
  • Learning to make the most of college support resources — from tutoring to self-advocacy – from current Beacon College students
  • Exploring what is key to personal success as they begin their college search
  • The chance to relax and experience Florida with other students from the United States and around the world.
Visiting College Student “Breakthrough Semester”:
Beacon College's "Breakthrough Semester" is for currently enrolled college international students experiencing academic difficulties.

This 16-week program teaches students to identify personal learning styles and strengths, forge a course of action for future college success, and build academic skills, while maintaining full-time undergraduate enrollment.

The goal of the Breakthrough Semester is for the student to either return to their previous institution with a trajectory towards success or matriculate into Beacon College's academic community, and onwards towards graduation.
