Program options

A teaching university with a focus on excellence, UFV offers 15 bachelor’s degrees, two applied master’s degrees, and more than 100 certificate, diploma, and post-degree programs in applied and academic areas.

Many of our university programs ladder into one another, allowing you to keep your options open by earning a two-year diploma on the way to completing a full bachelor’s degree or post-degree certificate. UFV also provides English upgrading options, if you need to improve your language skills before you start full-time university studies. Use UFV’s Personal Study tool to explore UFV program options.

UFV is a caring university community

Work while you study

Some programs offer a co-operative education option, where you can combine study with supervised, professional, paid, work experience in a related field.

You can also land an on-campus, part-time job that is flexible and built around your class schedule. And after six months of full-time studies, you may choose to search for an off-campus job.

Why choose UFV

With small class sizes, hands-on learning, and a caring community, UFV provides the quality learning experience you need to develop your potential and reach your goals.

In addition, when you graduate, you can obtain a Post-Graduation Work Permit to work in Canada for up to three years, and gain valuable Canadian work experience.

Or you can decide to pursue further education: UFV’s education is well-recognized internationally. Moreover, the university is part of a province-wide system linking all post-secondary institutions, which means it’s easy to transfer to other universities, including world-ranked post-secondary institutions.
