Academic Programs

College of Business Administration (CBA) … offers degree programs that are professionally accredited by AACSB International.  Students can study accounting, information systems, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, law & economics, management, marketing, and hospitality services.

College of Arts and Media … offers highly respected degree programs in the areas of art and design, broadcast and cinematic arts, communication and dramatic arts, journalism, music and public relations.

College of Education and Human Services (CEHS) … provides exceptional degree programs in the areas of counseling, educational leadership, fashion merchandising and design, human development and family studies, interior design, nutrition and dietetics, and recreation, parks and leisure services administration.

College of Health Professions(CHP) … offers high demand degree programs such as athletic training, communication sciences and disorders, environmental health & safety,, physical therapy, and physical education, and sport management.

International Student Support

CMU's Office of International Affairs(OIA) provides many services and coordinates social and cultural activities for international students to enhance interaction between students from the U.S. and abroad. We work hard to ensure that international students and scholars experience an easy transition while at CMU. Our staff is dedicated to assisting students with specific advising appointments, answering immigration questions, inviting international scholars to campus, and providing links to our rich international community through cultural programs and events.

English Language Institute and Language Skills Support

Students wanting to study English may apply for admission into CMU’s English Language Institute (ELI). 

Applicants with no English proficiency scores or whose scores are below the minimum requirement for regular admissions, may be admitted as undergraduate students through the University International Bridge program and upon arrival will be required to take an English proficiency test administered by CMU’s English Language Institute.  The results of the test will be used to determine the number of courses they will be required to take through the ELI.

University Recreation and Events

CMU hosts more than 500 University Events every year, from intimate presentations and performances to large-scale concerts.  Also, University Recreation (URec) and Student Activity Center facilities are free to students and include areas for jogging, personal training, weight lifting, swimming/aquatics, and a large variety of sports and leisure activities.
