Where are we?
HAN University of Applied Sciences is located the Arnhem / Nijmegen area of the Netherlands, a country known for its forward-thinking nature and international outlook. Many international students find their way to the Netherlands each year - in 2014 the country counted more than 70,000 international students, and the number has been rising each year.

Arnhem and Nijmegen are found in the east of the Netherlands. Arnhem is known for its shopping - Korenmarkt and Jansplein are two market squares popular with students, and are packed with pubs, cafes and restaurants - and Nijmegen, surrounded by forest, is the oldest city in the country. Nijmegen is packed with museums, theatres, sports facilities, vibrant nightlife opportunities and excellent hiking and bicycle trails.

The eastern part of the Netherlands, where HAN University of Applied Sciences is situated, is an attractive place for multinational companies because of its location between the major port of Rotterdam and the German industrial area. It makes for excellent work placement opportunities during your studies and good job perspectives after graduation.
