Shanghai University (SHU) is a "key" university in the state '211 Project'. It consists of 26 colleges and two departments, offering 71 undergraduate programs, 187 postgraduate programs, 97 doctoral programs. Currently, about 54,000 students are studying at Shanghai University with over 20,000 undergraduates and nearly 14,000 postgraduates. There are also more than 4000 international students.
Shanghai University is ranked as the 16th Chinese university in the 2018 QS International Ranking of universities. Shanghai University has three campuses – at the Baoshan, Zhabei and Jiading districts of Shanghai. Baoshan is the main campus and the Zhabei campus is close to the city centre.

Every year, SILC receives more than 380 international students from all over the world, which is about 10% of our total student body, and sends about 270 Chinese students to overseas universities for long- term and short-term study abroad programs. SILC welcomes exchange students from all over the world and wishes to send our students to study abroad. We have signed exchange agreements with more than 20 universities, most of which are located in America and Europe.
Students can not only study business courses at SILC, of which the instruction language is English, but can also study basic Chinese provided by SILC.
