About Universitas Airlangga

Established on 10 November 1954, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) that is located in Surabaya, East Java currently has 13 faculties and one school of postgraduate, ranging from basic sciences, medicine, and social sciences. Its visions are to become an independent and innovative university regionally and globally, a forerunner of science development, technology, humanities and arts based on excellent morality and religions.

Learning process at Universitas Airlangga is based on a holistic perspective which means that the university focuses on all potential aspects of its educational activities. Furthermore, Universitas Airlangga constantly innovates to actualize the integration and collaboration of various disciplines, particularly in the areas of health, economics, humanities, social sciences, local wisdom, and science and technology. The objective is to mutually strengthen every disciplines to continue to exist and contribute to the society, not only at the national level but also at the international level.

In addition, professionalism and competence of Universitas Airlangga lecturers are unquestionable. There are approximately 1040 lecturers holding master degrees, 495 lecturers with doctoral degrees, and 167 lecturers holding professorships. They have various experiences at national and international scopes. Last but not least, Universitas Airlangga campus is located in the city center, surrounded by a number of other universities, both public and private. Hence, students can immerse themselves in the conducive atmosphere. Boarding houses for students, researchers, lecturers, and administrative staff are not far from the campus with representative facilities. The campus is also surrounded by central public facilities, for example sports centers, shopping and business centers, hospitals, police stations, markets, and many other facilities.

For many years, as an institution of higher education, Universitas Airlangga has always attempted to improve the quality of its education and the supporting facilities in order to achieve Universitas Airlangga's vision to produce the best graduates who are not only excellent in academics but also have good morality. Universitas Airlangga has 3 campuses which are located in three strategic locations in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Campus A, which consists of Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry, has arrays of beautiful Dutch-built buildings and located right in front of the provincial hospital, Dr.Soetomo Hospital.

Campus B mainly consists of social science-based faculties, such as Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Psychology, and Faculty of Humanities. It also has one life-science faculty, the Faculty of Pharmacy. On Campus B, there are several main institutional support system/units for the university, which are the Central Library, American Corner, Post Graduate Programs, and Center for Health Care.

Campus C, the latest development of Universitas Airlangga's site, is where the University Management Office is located, along with some life-science faculties such as Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Faculty of Nursing, and several centers, such as Institute of Tropical Disease, Planning and Development Board, Research and Community Service Institute, Internal Auditor Committee, Airlangga University Press, and the International Office and Partnership (IOP). Student clubs that are located in the student center have more than 30 clubs focusing on athletics, academics, publications, performance, cultural awareness and special interest. The university also requires the students for Community Empowerment Service in rural areas that is held twice annually in the semester break.

International Office and Partnership (IOP) of Universitas Airlangga provides several programs for international students to adapt with their new environment both academic and cultural. The Inbound Mobility division helps students to familiarize themselves to the life style of Surabaya and academic culture of Universitas Airlangga. IOP also has a Hospitality division to help student for administrative purposes such as Visa. Even further, the office also helps students to look for accommodation via International Hospitality division.

In addition, IOP also provides international students with a free course of Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (BIPA), an introduction of Indonesian Language for daily life. To know local life deeper, IOP also provides international students with Buddy Program. International students will be assisted by local students so they can explore both academic and local culture better.

How to Apply?

Universitas Airlangga offers various degree and non-degree programs to students. Furthermore, Universitas Airlangga provides partial scholarship for AMERTA program and degree program. We have different Tuition and Admission fees depending on the degree program taken by the students.
